What the funk is a Spagyric? It’s one of the coolest and most unique techniques for extraction. Using an old alchemy technique that dates back hundreds of years, the plant is burned to a fine ash after the oil gets extracted. The ash contains natural mineral salts that are added back with the oil to give you a full hemp experience that other products can’t offer.
NOTE: Our Funk Spagyric products come from full-spectrum hemp which by definition contains trace amounts of THC. While it is rare for the small amounts of THC to show up in drug tests, we want advise people who undergo drug testing to take this into consideration. If you are looking for products without THC, try our Broad Spectrum products – which go through additional processes to remove THC.

If you haven’t heard about Spagyric yet, just wait. Pronounced spa-jer-ick, it’s an old practice of alchemy that utilizes the whole plant in a way regular extraction methods don’t.
As old alchemical preparations of herbs, spagyric products are simply more potent than their original form. Adding alcohol of a plant, purified salt, and oil together was believed to be a higher spiritual practice alchemically. Curiously enough, full extracted plants tend to have a more potent effect.
The following steps make up the extraction process:
Alcohol Extraction: The process will dissolve the alcohol soluble chemicals and the essential oils of the plant at the same chemical ratios found in the plant.
Mineral Extraction: The remaining extracted plant from the alcohol extraction is then stored in a dark place. Eventually, the plant material is burned into white ash, which is mineral salts, and will be dissolved in water.
Recombination: After distillation, the alcohol and mineral extraction are recombined to complete the Spagyric process. This results in a tincture containing all the plant’s oils, minerals, and acids in a more potent form than the organic plant.
After extracting the full-spectrum oil, the plant is heated up over a low flame for a prolonged period of time until it becomes a fine ash. The ash holds all the minerals that naturally live in the plant. That ash is distilled and turned into beneficial mineral salts. These salts are then added back to the oil – reconnecting all the plants naturally occurring properties – and passing it on to you.
